Clipper Tax Consulting specializes in exempting aircraft, vessel and vehicle purchases from California sales or use tax. I am an expert in this field and this is all I do.

We help our clients to save money The California State Board of Equalization (BOE) has an entire division devoted exclusively to collecting tax on aircraft, vessel and vehicle purchases. I am familiar with the policies and procedures of this division as well as the supervisors and division staff members. I know how they operate. This knowledge allows me to provide my clients with customized advice about the procedures they must follow and the documentation they must maintain to properly support an exemption from California sales or use tax.

There are a number of different tax exemptions available depending on your circumstances. Each tax exemption has different requirements which must be strictly followed. As part of my service, I review the different tax exemptions and help my clients determine which exemption will best meet their particular situation.

Once the appropriate tax exemption has been chosen, I assist my clients in meeting the requirements of the particular tax exemption by maintaining the appropriate documentation. In addition, I will prepare and file the appropriate tax return with the BOE.

As part of my service, I follow up with the BOE until the tax exemption has been granted and I receive written notification. I handle all communication with the BOE staff.

Provided you follow all of my instructions throughout the tax exemption process, I guarantee the tax exemption will be granted. To date, I have participated in filing hundreds of tax returns where the tax exemptions were granted. I have a 100% success rate.

I attended college for a number of years where I studied accounting and economics. I spent over six years at two different sales and use tax consulting firms. At these firms, I gained the knowledge, experience and skills to assist my clients in gaining sales or use tax exemptions on their purchases of aircraft, vessels or vehicles.
